Zanga Sadiq is a Principal Manager in the Economic Growth Team with more than 13 years of experience working in international development sectors, providing project management for large multimillion-dollar projects. She is experienced in strategic and commercial planning across various sectors, such as private sector development, employment promotion, entrepreneurship development, climate governance, and adaption in Africa, the Middle East, and Central and South Asia.
As an expert in project design and management, she works with clients in identifying tailored and innovative solutions driving sustainable growth while analyzing market trends and developing market strategies for projects funded by the U.K. Government’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) and Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ), the Swiss Agency for Development Cooperation, British International Investment (BII), Asian Development Bank, EU Delegation and the private sector.
Zanga joined DAI in 2018, where she worked on the FCDO-funded PEPE program, a market systems development program in Ethiopia. Since then, Zanga worked as Deputy Team Leader for the Enterprise and Innovation Program and Policy Innovation Facility in Central Asia. Both programs supported inclusive entrepreneurship development of marginalized groups, where she developed strategies with local start-ups to drive transformation and sustainable growth and a COVID risk management plan to ensure business continuation.
She is currently the project director for the SDC-funded Sustainable Inclusive Growth in Mountainous Armenia Programme and the UDAYA SME finance program in Nepal, as well as the Climate Ambition Support Alliance, where she brings a deep understanding of coordinating with highly sensitive political stakeholders. She is also the Delivery Lead for the FCDO Macroeconomic Advisory Support Programme in Jordan.
