Omar Abdalla serves as the Chief of Party for the Economic Governance Activity (EGA) in Egypt, where he oversees complex governance and anti-corruption initiatives along with public service delivery and private sector engagement in support of the Government of Egypt. He is a senior governance and program management specialist with more than 20 years of experience. Omar’s areas of expertise include program design, management, and implementation; policy reform and legislative support; strategy development; institutional support; governance programming; electoral assistance; stakeholder engagement; consensus building; procurement and awareness raising. Throughout his career, Omar has developed strategic and institutional relationships with senior officials in Egypt, Africa, and across the region; designed high-level capacity-building programs in support of government officials and members of the judiciary; developed systems for performance tracking and assessment; led institutional restructuring; and developed monitoring and evaluation systems.
