Jennifer Solakian supports DAI’s Water and Energy team as Lead Specialist providing technical support to advance technical innovation and learning across DAI’s portfolio of ongoing contracts and new business development efforts. Jennifer has more than 20 years of experience in the water resources and environmental conservation fields. She has provided support on international projects for U.S. government agencies including the U.S. Agency for International Development, the Army Corps of Engineers, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, and the U.S. Department of State focused on water-insecure, impoverished urban, and ecologically sensitive rural environments. Her technical expertise lies in the design, planning, and execution of initiatives including watershed management, water supply, irrigation, floodplain management and resiliency planning, green-gray infrastructure, nature-based solutions, integration of spatial technologies, hydrometeorology, and water sector governance.
Prior to DAI, Jennifer served as Senior Technical Lead for water resources management, for Winrock International and as Water Resources Engineering and Planning Team Lead for AECOM Technical Services’s Environmental Business Line, overseeing a team of engineers, scientists, and planners implementing water resources projects.
Jennifer is a U.S. licensed Professional Engineer and Certified Floodplain Manager.
