Alexis Turrall is currently the Deputy Director of DAI Europe’s Programme Management Unit and leads the Portfolio Advisor Team. The Portfolio Advisor Team supports the Programme Management Unit on quality control, performance management, resource allocation, start-up and close-down functions, and administration tasks. Alexis has spent the past three years with DAI Europe in the Business Development Unit. He was with HTSPE for two years prior to acquisition. He has worked in both the private and public sector as an international development specialist. Over the past 15 years, Alexis has been centrally involved with a range of donor agencies, development institutes, and international consulting firms; including work on policy issues with the U.K. Department for International Development, managing small teams in the business development function, managing teams of consultants on projects in Afghanistan, Eritrea, and Kosovo; and as an international development consultant in Indonesia and Uganda. His areas of speciality include good governance, public sector reform, public policy, public sector management, communications, livelihoods, rural development, land reform and programme management. Alexis has worked in Sub-Saharan Africa, South East and East Asia, and Eastern Europe.
