Jordan—Technical Assistance to Support the Quality of Education and TVET

Client: European Union

Duration: 2022-2024

Region: Middle East and North Africa

Country: Jordan

Solutions: Governance Education

The European Union is financing a support programme worth €65 million to implement an ambitious reform effort of the Government of Jordan—the Education Strategic Plan to improve the country’s technical and vocational education and training (TVET).

Our assistance supports sustainable growth through free and equitable access to high-quality primary and secondary education to develop human capital. To this end, improving teacher capacity will generate better education for young people, in turn increasing their opportunities for decent work upon graduation and their contribution to Jordan’s economic growth.

We are supporting the predominantly young population—with an emphasis on women, refugees, and people with disabilities—to better seize employment opportunities in Jordan.
