November 08, 2024

DAI this week welcomed its newest Board member, Bruno Vinciguerra, to his first in-person Board meeting in Bethesda, Maryland. Vinciguerra, who joined DAI’s Board of Managers in September, has led companies across various industries, and today serves as a board member, investor, and advisor to entrepreneurs and senior executives around the world.

“I’m delighted to join the DAI Board,” said Vinciguerra, “and excited to bring my energies to a global development company whose drive for purpose and impact is both an inspiration and a guiding principle.”

Vinciguerra began his career with Bain & Company. As a partner working in the Paris, Boston, and Toronto offices, he led strategic growth and organization projects for global companies, particularly in the consumer goods and technology sectors.

As Senior Vice President, Strategic Planning for the Walt Disney Company from 1998 to 2000, Vinciguerra spearheaded the reorganization of the Consumer Goods division and secured major global licensing agreements with key partners. Between 2000 and 2006, he led Dell’s Southern Europe and Western Europe regions.

“Bruno has a strikingly rich and diverse range of interests, experiences, and insights,” said Board Chair Betsey Nelson. “What ties them together is an intense commitment to understand the people and organizations he’s working with and help them reach their full potential. He’ll be a huge asset to the Board.”

In 2007, Vinciguerra followed his passion for culture and the arts, transitioning into the art world with leadership roles at Sotheby’s and Bonhams. As Chief Operating Officer of Sotheby’s, he oversaw the company’s digital transformation, expansion into Asia, and record financial performance. From 2018 to early 2024, he was CEO of Bonhams, where he transformed the company from a U.K.-centric auction house to a global player across regions and categories.

Vinciguerra is committed to creating organizational environments where experts, specialists, and talented professionals can thrive, pursue their passions, and deliver outstanding results. He graduated from the French business school ESSEC in 1985 and attended Stanford Directors’ College in 2016. Holding joint French and U.S. citizenship, Vinciguerra resides with his family in New York.
