October 03, 2013

Jean Gilson, DAI’s Senior Vice President for Strategy and Information Technology, has been re-elected as Chair for Chapter Affairs at the Society for International Development, Washington, D.C., Chapter (SID-Washington).

As the second-ranking officer of the SID-Washington board of directors, Gilson will continue to lead efforts on membership recruitment, retention, and diversification, as well as help guide the organization’s strategic thinking.

Its work groups and presentations feature some of the world’s top thinkers on issues such as food security and agriculture, gender in development, and international health and nutrition.

“I am honored to serve for another term on the executive committee,” Gilson said. “SID-Washington is a unique forum for collaboration, debate, innovation, and learning in the development community. I look forward to continuing the development dialogue with our members and the outstanding SID-Washington staff.”

In addition to Gilson, DAI staff active in SID-Washington include Ed Rackley, who co-chairs the organization’s Crisis, Conflict, and Transition work group, and Seema Patel, who co-chairs the Private Sector work group.
